June – A Poem by Joan McNerney

Poetry Breakfast

June

There are too many
clocks and not enough
time. I will take
and keep this minute
for myself.

This minute
of mercury
this swift
summer night
as sleepless stars
glide through
the sky in
aerial ballet.
