In simple words expresses a lot

He snatched the laughter
She stole the smiles
They forced the mouth open
and killed the barking tongue,

He snatched the brushes
She spilt the paint
They tip-toed into dreams
and stole the color away,

Together
They robbed innocence
raped love
and stole a precious gem,
Childhood.

Foolish me
I gave them a key.
